My party this year is a sort of "Undead Prom," which leaves the costume selection wide open for my guests.  I'll have black rose centerpieces on all the tables, and I'll even have a cheesy balloon arch to take pictures under, just like all the high school dances I remember

I personally just like doing the entire house as a haunted house and making everyone be simply a dead version of their costume. Easy to convert and as long as you do a good job with the house it's usually a huge hit.

Lots of great ideas.  I also tend to do a haunted mansion theme.  I decorate the entire house inside and out, every room - including the bathrooms!  However, this  year I think I am going to give each room a different theme.  Better start planning now!  EEK!!!!!!

We always go the traditional graveyard-haunted-spooky route. Never thought of having an actual "theme". I like the idea of the ghost prisoners.

We always decorate the house inside and out. Each room is a different spooky theme. My favorite room is the black light room! We use a lot of glow in the dark paint and cut up black trash bags to block out any light from other rooms and windows. The glow in the dark paint can be put on almost anything.

These are great ideas. Did the Graveyard last year. It turned out great. I have decided to use the decorations from last year, and have an on going graveyard every year, for the yard display.  Thanks for the ideas, now have more time to plan for next year.

This year we are doing a Classic Mad Hatter's Tea Party, we have a baby girl and she's going to be the doormouse. This is especially cool for those with young ones, a mixed adult and kids afternoon party is great. Recipe and decorating ideas are endless.

A Harry Potter Wizards party is also a fun idea for Halloween.
