1. Masks can often greatly restrict vision. Since much trick-or-treating is done in the dark or near darkness, vision is already reduced, add a bulky mask with eye holes far from the eyes and the potential for injury from tripping, etc. is greatly increased.
2. Makeup can decorate the entire face while allowing full, normal visibility for your little ghoul or goblin.
3. Makeup can be worn by those who wear glasses without the risk of fogging which further inhibits sight.
4. Have your child carry a light of some kind, be it a flashlight, a glow stick, a flashing reflector, etc.

With Disguise Stix® Face Paint, one way you can use it, is the easiest way. Simply dip the stix in water and apply directly to the face or hair. (Caution: Always keep makeup out of eyes. Flush eyes with water if needed.) For applying to large areas or to apply through a stencil, all you need to do is dip the stick in water and transfer the coloring from the stick to a sponge. Be very certain that you use a Wet Stick and a Dry Sponge! That way you will get a nice concentrated coloring on your sponge which will coat your skin beautifully with a patting or stippling motion. A wiping motion will yield what will appear as fur, see kitty below.

For detail lines, such as the whiskers of the kitty, or for the spots of the leopard, simply load a brush such as a #4 flat or #4 Round brush with coloring by wetting either the stick or the brush and picking up the color from the stick to the brush as you would with a dish of makeup.
