    Rainbow cupcakes

You can use any white cake recipe or mix. it's usually just easier to get the boxed mix. You follow the directions and then you just split the batter into different bowels so that you can add food coloring to it. You then spoon a little of each color into the cupcake tins.

They are fun and colorful. They could be great for a 60's theme party.

    Re: Rainbow cupcakes

Ah I figured I should show you pics of how they turned out when I made them.

The first pic is of my first try a few months ago. You can see the color really well.

The 2nd is of cupcakes I made a few weeks ago, I used a lot of batter on the first batch so the second batch didn't have that much in it, so they turned out smaller. I also used less food coloring so the colors wern't as bright.

I like those. You could match the colors to any theme. Red and green for Christmas.... Chocolate cake and orange for Halloween... pastels for Easter... green and white for St. patricks day... etc.

I love baking, but I do not enjoy cleaning up. So if someone offers to clean up my mess then I will make you these cupcakes =]

Wow, these all look good.  I  just wish I were more enthusiastic abut baking!  Not always a lot of time for that.

That is why everyone should have a friend that enjoys baking. Unfortunately, I am that person in my group of friends.
