 HATS! they top off any costume (pun intended) and are just really cool. I love the viking hat and the chicken hat. I'll probably buy the chicken hat just to wear, because it's that awesome.

I prefer to wear hats.

I usually have a hard time seeing out of a mask, sometimes the eye holes are just never big enough, also they just seem to stuffy to me.

I have enough hair as it is, and I would have a hard time trying to fit it all under a wig. I've also heard from a few friends that depending on the wig, they can be heavy or itchy.

 I like them all!  wigs are only itchy if you don't secure your hair under properly ( at least I"ve found) mask if you get good quality ones you won't sweat, and ahts are just a bonus accessory, but all allow you to be someone else for a night, can create in image that not even you close friends will recognize which I love being able to do every once in a while.

 i love wigs, also but they are usually a mess & are hard to get them to look nice. but when you do, they are awesome!

I LOVE wigs! As far as masks are concerned, they are a great solution for monster costumes etc. when the wearer doesn't have knowledge of FX makeup. Celebrities and other historical figures, in my opinion, should really be done with makeup and wigs. Also, here's my version of Marie Antoinette! I wore it last night for a party and had a blast!!! I bought the wig and dress from this website then added a small boat which I made and some other floral elements and pearls. The wig is VERY light, so it wasn't at all difficult to wear, thankfully! .

Some wigs are a must like Grease Sandra Dee, others like Michael Myers a mask is a given, take a good nurse or

pirate and you have to have a hat.

You'd need to make a decision depending on what costume you've got, but ignoring that fact I like hats the best. They're easy and comfortable to wear. I can never get wigs to look or sit right and I have real trouble hiding all my hair, and I've never even considered wearing a mask because I imagine they would be so hot and you wouldn't be able to breathe well in them.

I personally like masks because they are so unique and they are a great item to collect. The only cons about masks is that if you wear them for a long period of time, you get sweaty because of how hot the mask is. Also, if your outside for Halloween, the breathing causes your mask to give of condensation.

Yeah, that's what bothers me about them. They're great for getting exactly the character you want, but damn, they look uncomfortable :-P I couldn't stand not being able to get a good breeze on my face.

jigsaw you can buy these foam headbands, they work pretty good and they hold the  mask in place.

My husband wears a different wig every year. People actually look forward to seeing what his wig will be. A couple years ago he wore the wig that was in the Wendy's hamburger comercials... red pigtails like the Wendy's logo.... and people loved it. He looked very silly.

That is so Great another couple that are crazy like all of us LOL
