 I remember being an Xmen and getting a quarter pillow case of candy. I thought I hit the jackpot :D

From the time I was a toddler until I was about 7, my mom dressed me as a gypsy!  It was the late fifties and most kids didn't have a "store bought" costume.  I loved wearing tons of jewelry and make-up!

I can't remember which was firstbut there are 2 I remember from being reali young like 4 and 5.  My mom dressed me up as a bag of M & M's.  She took a black trash bag, cut a whole for my arms and head, wrote the letters M&M on it, and then put little colored dots all over my face and arms.

The other one I was a chocolate chip cookie.  She took 2 pieces of cardboard and made a circular sandwich board and drew on the chocolate chips. 

I love the simple costumes, even now.

 I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and I had a really pretty princess costume. But it was so cold out side that i put my grandpa's flanel cost on over my outfit and everyone keps saying oh how cute a little hobo. I was so sad.

 I remember first grade being a clown. We went treak or treating and my dad had to drag me up to a house because they had a grim reaper outside and i was terrified. All I remember was screaming all the way up to the door and running as fast as i could after i got my candy.

 The first one I remember slightly is being a witch in kindergarten, don't ask me why but I do.

2003. We went on a trip to the USA and it was during halloween. Our hotel had a party and the streets of LA were filled with people dressed up.We had only ever seen it on TV or in the movies. (it not celebrated here at all) My husband and I had the best time and I have loved it ever since and tell everyone here at home in Australia and we have had parties every year after that. Our neighbours think we will do anything for a party!

 The first Halloween I remember I guess I was about 5 or 6. The reason I remember is because I got to dress up as Barbie. Remember those plastice one piece costumes with the plastic masks? That is what I had. I got to pick it out and everything. I was so excited.
