Bride of Frankenstien Costume - Lame!!

I loved the Bride of Frankenstien wig that buycostumes.com has available. I purchased it and it is great but the outfit is so lame, boring, and terrible. I am having a Halloween hotel party then going clubbing afterward and this is not appropriate.  So I bought the wig and am making my own sexy bride of frankestien costumes. Just bought the base mini dress and am going to add ripped up fabric to it. I am adding a train, veil, and bridal bouquet to it just to spruce it up. I am a plus size and I wish a better options was readily available.  The choice out there today for a plus size will never get me into the clubs.  Help does anyone feel the same or have ideas to make it fun?

I know what you mean.  I usually end up buying accessories and creating my own costume.  Every year there seems to be more sexy plus size costumes available though.

I agree, the costumes have improved tremendously for plus size girls but my hope is that next year, we could improved another notch.

That would be an easy costume to make, you would just have to by the wig.

Sounds like an easy one to make.  Not sure how I would do it, though, if I wanted to at all.

I'm terrible at making costumes - I wouldn't even know how to repair them :-P But I'll have to learn that much at least if I want to run a shop!

Same here! My mother could always teach me since she used to sew for a living but.... I have no patience with her at times lol.

I ran my mouth out off a bit too much, oh what did I say? You just laugh it off, it was all okay.  And we'll all float on okay...

My mum wasn't much of a sewer but Scott's mother has quite a lot of sewing experience, she might be able to teach me.

I can sew, but not doing it as often as I once did, it doesn't come as easily.  But I can still do it.

My mother used to make a lot of our clothes when we were small kids... and she even made our barbie clothes.  I, on the other hand... did not inherit that gift. I hate to sew... and only do it if I absolutely have to.  In home economics class I used the sewing needles to pierce my ears! hahaha

My mother and grandmother did the same. They sewed for a living before immigrating to the States. They still make clothes today, too bad they're frugal and use whatever scraps of cloth for the clothes. Lol, ow? I wouldn't dare to pierce my ears by myself.

My aunt pierced my ears when I was 9 with a needle.. some ice... and a potato! hahaha  I did the same thing without the ice or potato in class to make two more holes in each ear.  If you do it quick... its not too bad. :P
