So I am a huge costume nerd. My boyfriend and I have been working like mad scientists in the basement to create an alien robot sent to save the world from the Decepticons. Enjoy.

WOW! i literally thought u photoshopped that pic. That is great. I wouldve prefered Starscream or Soundwave...but 2 each his/her own.

WOW! All I can say is you guys did a magnificent job! It must of took a lot of time, work, and determination to do something that good. Im shocked. All I can say is wow and great job.
A lot of time and hard work went into it, but it was all worth it. The best part was just the challenge of seeing if it could be done!
Rachel, Optimus Prime is actually pretty popular in milwaukee. I have seen that costume almost every year. I think some guys from MSOE made one. It had lighted eyes and a gun. also the chest opened up with a motor and there were lights inside.

Did you guys go out on the town with this by any chance?
We didn't.
It was his first time wearing the whoel costume and it was hard to travel with, even in his Chevy Silverado. It was really hard for him to walk because of the way he fashioned the stilts onto the legs. We both agree on some improvements for 2009 Halloween. It will be "out on the town" ready then.
That costume is amazing. Epic even. Best one I've seen ecepecially for a homemade costume. Very impressive.
