No, this was a Food Network Challenge, which is a competition show. Ace Of Cakes got started because Duff was on a Food Network Challenge and the Food Network liked him, so they gave him his own show.

 I love watching the cake competitions, as well as the choclate and sugar art ones.  Did you see the pumpkin carving one??

Yes! That was incredible. I felt bad for the woman... she kept forgetting little details and her stuff would have been amazing if she hadn't been so flustered. Poor girl. The guy who won was so amazing.

 NO! I was sooo mad. I saw that it was comming on and really wanted to see it. Then my sister in law called and asked if she came over if I would help her with her english paper. I thought no problem but then that took way longer than I thought and I forgot about it and missed it. Then I never caught a re-run. Sucks.

dont u hate when that happens. i cant tell u how many shows i have missed out of sheer 4getfulness....or laziness cuz i didnt wanna go downstairs 2 watch the tv.

 i love watching food network challenge. i remember one of them was to make an edible cereal bridge, and one of the best ones crashed to the floor and broke. it was so sad

 I did see that one. I'll tell you they must have SOME kind of rule against how much you can practice ahead or something because I cannot believe some of the people go on there, start to work, then say they have never done it before. How are you going to enter a compition like that on national tv competing for so much money and then not even practice what you're going to do at least once?! Crazy.

 I think its 4 show so they can seem like really great if it turns out perfect. Of course its gonna turn out perfect cuz u have done it 5 times already!

 I know! They always look amazing but they should taste good too. That's what drives me crazy about Ace Of Cakes sometimes. Why would you want a "cake" that looks like a dog if the only part that's made out of cake is the size of a cupcake and the rest is wood and rice crispy treats. I'd rather just have a beautiful cake that looks like a cake.
