Yep, I saw that. Very cool :)

Actually I'm about to get a $950 tax handout from the government, so that could probably pay for my rego and whatnot. Anyone in Queensland who earned more than about $6,000 but less than $80,000 in the 2008 financial year gets it. I get it and Scott doesn't because he hasn't been working, hehehe

Re: Planning for Halloween 09 ?

I wish I had a party to go to or that I could have a party.  But I just can't afford to and I don't have room at home.  And no one has parties i could go to.  I've worked many times with other how have parties but exclude me from them.  Only exception to this was a party in 1992 by someone I knew in college and one by someone I worked with in 2005.   The two worst exclusions were by two girls the restaurant I worked at in 1999, and by three girls who used to work where I still currently work.  One was having the party just for kids (she has three of them) and another was bringing her son.  But the the third girl--this annoyed me the most--doesn't have kids, but she got to go to the party.  That was wrong and stupid, I thought.  My hope of having the seven deadly sins party last Halloween fell through and now I can't do it.

I have to rent a place for a party because I live in a single-wide mobile home (too small to have a a party there and there are problems with paring on the streets) but I can't afford that. Our park's clubhouse is $500 to rent and cannot be used past 10pm (no one will want to leave that early!)

That's a real shame. There are halls and places you can hire here but they don't cost too much and you can use them all night.

Re: Planning for Halloween 09 ?

Funny though, I thought about the invitations with my party ages ago, then after I'd sent them all I had a huge gap where I didn't worry about anything else until about 2 weeks before the party. Then I started thinking about food and decorations and whatnot. I was lucky though because I already knew the cake and the finger food would be taken care of by Mum, haha :)

A pirate wedding? Sounds interesting! If I were to get married in costume, I'd want to dress as the Elite Southern Belle and I'd want my husband to wear the Southern Gentleman costume :)
