    Favourite Cake?

What's your favourite cake? Is it chocolate with chocolate icing? or vanilla icing? red velvet? Do you prefer brownies? Do you hate cake? Are you avoiding cake and all the calories?

My fav is vanilla cake with buttercream icing covered in fondant.

A very popular cake here in Australia is chocolate mud cake. Everybody loves it. I think it's way too heavy. And don't have any when they have chocolate at a party because it's almost always mud cake. It will sit in your stomach for days!

My Favorite Kind Cake Would Have to be either Chocolate with Chocolate Icing, Chocolate with Vanilla Icing, Or Cherry Cheesecake with a little bit of Wip Cream On Top

    Re: Favourite Cake?

I agree, mud cake is overdone and I'm sick to death of it! It isn't even that good.

My favourite cake is vanilla sponge cake with cream in the middle with almost any icing - not too fussed on that. It's the cake that's so tasty, mmmmm...

    Re: Favourite Cake?

Have you ever had buttercream icing? I've found most Australians haven't. Mostly because once it gets hot here the icing will melt so most use something else.

I love it so have found ways around it melting.

I like hershey's cocoa cupcakes with vanilla icing, as well as brownies. No I do no thate cake, I love it.  I don't care much about calorie level.  I've never had fondant but I can imagine how it tastes. Wow! tha mud cake does sound heavy.

Yeah, I've had buttercream icing. I have a friend who always makes her birthday cakes with her mother and they use buttercream icing. It's sooooooooooo good, lol

The first thing to use is CRISCO vegetable shortening, it won't melt as easily as butter. Instead of adding milk, use water. And I always try and keep the cake or cupcakes in aircon as much as possible. There are times here though that it just won't work because it's too hot.

Funfetti is an American cake mix by Pillsbury with colorful pieses inside. The finished cake looks like this:

    Re: Favourite Cake?

Lol, well the main thing is we know what you meant.

Funfetti huh... American food brands are incredibly unusual, lol. But I suppose it's a lot like Goody Goody Gum Drops ice cream. I think it originally came from New Zealand but now you can buy it in Australia.
