A fly...caught in a Spider's Web....costume from halloween 2009

here is a shot my girl took of me...as a fly...got the wings and glasses and the fly hat/eyes from buycostumes.com. She was a spider. I need a pic of her! (fly caught in her spider, haha)...

so yes, most of costume bought at buycostumes.

the rest: an Under Armour spandex shirt...a tunic from a past halloween, not sure what it was.

boots from buycostumes.com....Tights from Wolford (um, they were *really* soft and silky and felt really good...i'm weird i guess, lol :)

Unfortunately I found it really hard to get any decent photos of me in this one :-P I think it would look better on someone slimmer. It didn't look so bad looking in the mirror but once I took a photo... AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! lol. This is the only one I could bear posting!

I liked this one but I wish it was longer! If it weren't for that it would be perfect. Check out how short it is! I could barely keep it low enough for the photo.

OMG..this was the first time i have ever tried this, but i bought a kids mohawk and 2 packs of crepe wool in white, died the crepe wool blue, and used spirit gum to paste it to the mohawk cap. i stuck it on my daughters head and started painting away. it was pretty funny at one moment she looked like a buck toothed "DUH" type of clown, but when she made a mean face, WOW! she looked evil. we all loved it.

These are the only 2 photos I have of me in costume so far.

This one's me at my boyfriend's father's birthday party. It had a 50's theme so I hired a Leg Avenue costume from a shop near me and went as a 50's girl. Just wish I had a nicer stomach :-P

This one's from my friend's Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party. The Queen of Hearts costume is on this site but I hired this one from a different place too. It was so short on me that I had to wear tights which unfortunately made my legs look really chubby :-P

I liked my boyfriend's costume though - we got the hat from a different place which is why it didn't match but the overall effect turned out quite well.

This is nice but the wig is long and really messy. Plus I was having trouble keeping the hair out of my eyes :-P But I got it in the end. I also wore a new black petticoat for a bit of extra length.

My friend made this costume, and let me borrow it in an attempt to win my company's Halloween costume contest. Since it's a creative design agency though, the competition is tough and I didn't win. The general consensus among my coworkers was that I was totally robbed.

I'm sure I would have really loved this costume if only it had fit better... :-P But it doesn't come in a smaller size than a Medium. I really liked the wig though, it was really easy to put on.

I like this one but it was a bit tight. You can see a bit of a gap in the front of the dress in the photo because the lower buttons are really straining to stay closed :-P It does run small. The hat was a killer though :)

I actually really liked the look of this one on me! It's a Small-Medium which is usually too small for long dresses but if it's a short dress which flares out over my hips like this one then the SM is a perfect fit. I'm also wearing the red petticoat with white polkadots and the thigh highs the model is wearing in the picture. The only thing I still need is the gloves.
