ok so we live in wyoming and im pretty good at makin my daughters costumes warm but have any of you found any that are epically good for cold weather? my daughter is 9 if thats any help

I love to see kiddie transportation used as part of the costume! I once saw a stroller disguised as a crab trap and the baby was dressed as a crab. Any other ideas?

Lil' Stinker Costume

This year will be my daughter's first Halloween and I'm thinking of buying her the Lil' Stinker Costume and was wondering if anyone has purchased this before. She will be a fresh 10 months old and is average sized. The reason I'm thinking about ordering the 12-18 instead of 6-12 is because I hate it when costumes are too short and show the ankles. Anyone know from experience how this fits?

I take my sons to playgroup everyweek. The other mums decided to have a easter party and want everyone to make an easter hat for their kids. I have no idea what to do or how to make one. I've looked online and found hats made out of paper plates but since my sons are too young to make their own I have to make it for them and think it's kinda lame. I guess I've also put myself in a bit of a spot. I've brought in cupcakes and cookies before that were nicely decorated and now there are a few who expect that I'll make the most amazing hat because I'm so creative, or that's what they said. NOt really fair, cupcakes and cookies are not hats! I might get good ideas and I am rather creative but I haven't been able to come up with anything. HELP!

Any ideas for family costumes? Last year my family consisting of myself, hubby, 7 year old son, 4 year old daughter and baby girl went as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We won a costume contest! I was thinking Wizard of Oz for this year, any other ideas?

I myself do not have any kids, but I love to see kids dressed up for Halloween. Although thankfully I have younger siblings. Here is my brother Evanks 4 years old on Halloween last year. He was Willam Turner , he kept taking off his hat.

My husband and I are huge World Of Warcraft players. When I saw that Buycostumes.com actually had some "WoW" stuff, I got excited till I found they were only for adults. If you know the game, then you get what I mean when I say my oldest son wants to be a Rogue with enchanted weapons. I've thought about just getting a ninja costume and a couple of plastic prop like daggers... but how do I make them look enchanted? "Enchanted weapons" have a shimmery glow to them and someone suggested glitter.... wouldn't that get everywhere?

I know there isn't much time left and Halloween is the only celebration we really get into. Anyone have any ideas? =D

Okay, Okay....It's all my husbands and my fault: Our son has certified Costume Mania! Since our son, Phoenix, turned 1-yr-old, we have been dressing him up in costumes. The tradition was started where he dresses up as the main character of whatever the theme of his birthday party is. He has been Superman, Buzz Lightyear(complete w/the light up googles), Spiderman, Hulk, Mr. Incredible(One of my Favorite) and Venom. The guests love it and ask every year what the theme will be so that they can join in the character fun! As you can imagine, we have a great phot albulm as well. With his birthday being in September, halloween is right around the corner and he is almost always a different character for that. He'll be 7 this year and I don't know how much longer we should keep this up. I suppose he'll turn to us one day and say, thanks but , no thanks!

Between our tradition, halloween and the costumes he's recevied as gifts, he has amassed quite the collection. Not only has he worn his costumes on a daily basis but Yes, I am the parent who has allowed their child to wear a costume or 2 to the grocery store. Playdates with his buddies are always fun to watch as they change costumes and interact. Of course, we have passed a few on as he's outgrown them, but more often then not they are retired due to the wear-n-tear that renders them unidentifiable.

He is just so cute and we have loved watching the joy it brings him to wear his costumes but I can't help but think that when my brothers and I were coming up, we made most of the costumes we wore....Am I overcompensating for my childhood of unrecognizable and shabby costumes or would Phoenix be better served by making his own costumes?

Well, his birthday is right around the bend and here we are on buycostumes.com buying him 2 more costumes! My son may have Costume Mania, but I wonder,,,What do I have? Are there others like me out there? I'd love to hear from you =-)

It is my custom every year to make my kids look as goulish as possible. I have been successful every year until now. I am going to be the witch from wizard of oz and my oldest (6) is going to be Dorothy. This is the one time I will let her look cute on halloween. I just love to get the kids involved in the gruesome parts of halloween because they just never get to do anything like that any other time of the year. My kids love it! I ask them what would they rather be a beautiful princess or a bloody mess. They always want the mess. Man are they fun!! Most kids would get scared but not my little pumpkins. HAHA I LOVE IT!

After Ahlloween is over I let my daughter use her costume for play clothes. She and her friends love to dress up in all the diffrent outfits. She runs to her room after school and changes into a costume everyday. As a matter of fact she is sleeping in her costume rite now lol. I think it's cute and lets her get lots of use out of the costumes with as much as come of them cost I am glad that they get worn more than once.

Ok so I'm not a kid, but I can usually get into the largest size availble for girls ('.';>

I really want to get a hogwarts cloak, but I have no idea if they will actually fit me length wise. Or what age range the harry potter costumes are actually for?I can fit sizes 12-16 in girls.

The adult harry potter costumes look lame, and cheap. >.<, or if anyone has one is it worth it?

But I was wondering because Im 5'3 and then sum, close to 5'4, and I don't want the cloak to go to my knees you know.

Also all the options confuse me, makes it hard to decide, with the standard, deluxe, then there is another deluxe on the site, then premium? Which to pick? I'm a college student on a budget lol. But if I do spend money I dont want to waste it on something I can only wear once.

My son who is 2, and my neice who is almost 1 are going trick or treating together and me and my sister and law, wanted to do some sort of theme. at first we were thinking of doing something with an 80's theme so me and her could also particpate. After finding not many 80's theme costume for infant and toddler, we changed our mind. However, we can't find any costumes that we are crazy about, we want costumes for our little one's that people are going to say, "thats such a great costume" not, "aww look at the little princess, and the little superman AGAIN". so please any idea's?

I use the kid's size costumes to dress up many tiny "creatures" for my Halloween display. Small sized skeletons look scarier decked out in little outfits appropriate to the theme. This year a pint sized skeleton will be a pirate in a Capt Jack Sparrow outfit!
