    Re: MAKE UP

That is great. The little girl would have been sooo happy,I know its not about winning but having fun ...but...everyone loves to win!! Her mum must have done a great job of the makeup. And I agree a dead version of anything would be good next year, I'll thnk about that myself.

    Re: MAKE UP

i want to buy the Dark Heart Queen costume & do some dead makeup to make the costume look even better! but that depends on whether or not my friends want to do the alice in wonderland theme.

She did an excellent job. When she was a kid, she used to win Halloween contests all of the time. One year, her and her sister paper mached their entire heads. People kept asking where they bought their masks. LOL. I wore the Dark Heart Queen costume Sat and got lots of compliments. I bought the Top Hat w/veil and it looked really pretty. I was thinking of wearing it again on Fri and just doing the dead version. Otherwise, I'll be sticking to Rainbow Brite. Either way, only 3 days 'til Halloween!!!

    Re: MAKE UP

It is great to get compliments on a costume ...well its great to get them anytime. I go a bit over the top and my kids often win a prize for their outfits. My daughter who has moved to another state still gets me to do her costumes and send them over to her!! I actually made several french maid outfit for my daughter and her friends to attend a hens night ( not sure whta you call them in the US) for one of her girlfriends who was getting married. They all looked great. There was 12 girls and they went to night clubs etc dresses like that!!

    Re: MAKE UP

Hens night seems like  bachelorette parties, which are always bittersweet. The last one I went to, I almost cried, the bride was moving out of state. Her bestfriend was all broken up. We had a blast though. That's amazing that you do such great work on costumes. Dressing up is sooo fun! Some people shun celebrating Halloween for religious reasons but I still feel that I can celebrate and not affect my religious beliefs. I can't wait 'til Friday! (can you tell that I'm excited?) LOL.

    Re: MAKE UP

Yes that exactly what they are. AND yes you sound excited. I think a party is a party for whatever reason. I personally don't thnk religious belief should entre into it.

    Re: MAKE UP

Personally for me all holidays have become an american tradition and part of my culture rather than a religious celebration (like christmas) people used to tell me in school that I shouldn't be allowed to celebrate christmas because I was agnostic. And I used to tell them if that's the case then you're going to hell for going trick or treating now leave me alone.
