    Getting a little worried...

So I ordered something pretty last minute, but shipping was guaranteed by the 30th. It shipped out fast and I got the tracking info, which estimated the arrival date as the 29th (tomorrow). Awesome, right? But there hasn't been an update on the tracking since Monday the 26th when it left from somewhere in IL. Shouldn't it be checking in and out of other facilities on its way to California? It still shows it as being "In transit - On time" but I'm worried. If it's lost somewhere and doesn't make it in time I don't have a back up and I've spent quite a bit on this costume already.

Is this common? I'm getting so much anxiety over this! D:

Ha! Nevermind. =) It must just not update along the way when shipping UPS ground. It just checked in at the local facility. I am such a worry wart!

Woo, it's "Out for Delivery"! I just hope it comes before I have to go to work this afternoon. I don't want it sitting on my porch all night. =(

I'd worry too if I left my plans to the last minute with no backup! LOL

Monday night I heard the UPS man pull up. I went to the door and he was just getting in his truck... he had never rang the bell. Then Tuesday night the UPS man must have came late and again he never rang my doorbell. This time I didn't hear him pull up so when we went to leave for school Wed morning I had several packages on my porch. I was very ticked. My neighborhood is not bad... but ya never know what could happen. I never would have known they were even there if they had gotten stolen. Who leaves packages and doesn't ring the doorbell?! It must have been a different driver because my other driver comes much earlier and always rings the bell.

You know, the guy who left my package yesterday didn't knock or anything either, just left it on my porch. I randomly looked at my tracking info because I'm obsessive, LOL. And it said it was delivered. I was pretty much like, what the heck? I had been home all day at that point so I know I didn't just miss it or something.

Ours came yesterday right as we were starting to leave for trick or treating. It is not the same guy as we normally have. I hope I get my regular guy back.

That's so weird. They used to ALWAYS knock on my door when they left a package. =(

That's weird, I hope it's not some new policy or something. Why would they do that? I don't want a package sitting out there on my porch when I'm home and can easily take it from them!

I agree if they are right at the door why  not knock. My doorbell doesn't work so that maybe what is the problem here. They ring the door bell which doesn't work instead of knocking.

    Re: Getting a little worried...

Well I don't have a doorbell. When I lived in Vegas they used to just knock really loudly. I was always home when they had packages delivered to me because I only had class 'til noon. Was getting a lot of different stuff through UPS at the time, and they never just left it on the porch. I thought it was strange the other day when I was sitting at home waiting until it was time to go to work and I randomly checked my tracking and it said it was delivered, and sure enough it was sitting on my porch and they never knocked.

You could have easily been like me and not noticed until you left the next morning. It should be mandatory to knock or ring the bell.... especially when there is a car in the driveway... that pretty much says I'm home.

    Re: Getting a little worried...

Yes thats true. Here we have to sign for the package , so they have to knock and then come back if you are not home. I do know my guy so we have a secret spot for him to leave things if I am not home! I hate to wait for another day! haha
