    True Blood

Has anyone seen the new series "True Blood" on HBO? An HBO representative was at my job last month promoting the show, passing out 'True Blood" drinks. I find it to be different but interesting. It's from the creator of Six Feet Under. The series is set in Louisiana. The storyline is about how the Japanese government synthesized blood, to make it mainstream for vampires. This allowed the Vampire race to live in the general society because they no longer needed to kill humans for blood. Of course, that's not the case for the vampires, they still kill for blood. I saw the first episode Sunday night, it was pretty good.

Watch the show, you may like it.

Oh, and here's the "True Blood" recipe:You can make blood drinks. It's similar to a root beer float.

This is what you'll need: small paper/styrofoam cups(the # depends on the # of guests) rainbow sherbert 2L strawberry soda(Welch's or Sunkist) You need to fill the cup 3/4 full of sherbert. Then just pour the soda on top. It turns into a red drink.

I never really watched Carnivale but I know it was a hit with a lot of viewers. Well, I am on Ep 3 of True Blood. I hope it continues to be very interesting. Maybe we can make this our True Blood forum. LOL.

    Re: True Blood

I've watched every episode so far but I must admit I'm not entirely hooked and it's seems less vampire-y than I would like. There's a lot of sex and lust and heck even a murder every episode but it feels like the vampire aspect is thrown in more than anything else. Sort of a euphemism for intolerance rather than any real concentration on vampire culture.

Or at least that's my opinion of it. Nice to see Aunt Meg from Twister getting solid work though... or at least for a few episodes.

HBO does have Bloodcopy, which is a more intricate look on the lifestyle. It's on Comcast ondemand, not sure if you have that in your area though.

I am definitely in. This show came out during the appropriate season, right before Halloween. I just watch whenever I can on vod, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep up with it either. That's why I can't ever follow any series on the local networks.

I 2 m bad with following shows. Didn't used 2 b. My favorite show is Heroes on NBC. I have problems getting downstairs (only tv with cable) 2 watch it. End up watching it later online.

    Re: True Blood

i miss episodes, then tell myself i'll watch it online later, but then i get distracted. so my only option is to watch whatever happens to be on when i feel like watching tv
